Your story. Your healing. Your sanctuary.

Wherever you are, you deserve a space that nurtures, supports and empowers you, exactly as you are.

Our story

From struggle to sanctuary.

Our founder, Mandy, knows what it means to carry more than your share. During her husband's battle with cancer, yoga wasn't a luxury. It was a lifeline.

Each day the mat offered her a moment to breathe, to feel, and to let go of what she couldn't control. It wasn't about fixing anything. It was about finding enough strength to make it through.

That experience shapes everything we do. Life's challenges, whether stress, trauma, caregiving or anxiety, can leave us feeling disconnected. Our mission is simple: trauma-informed yoga and wellness practices that meet you where you are, honor your journey, and help you reconnect with your body, mind and spirit.

If you are navigating something hard right now, you don't have to do it alone. We are here, and this practice is here, for every high and every low.

Mandy Flannery, founder and owner of The Teal Yogi

Mandy Flannery

Founder and owner

Mandy found yoga while caring for her husband, Pat, through chemotherapy and radiation for Hodgkin's lymphoma. For an hour each day the mat was her refuge, a place to be raw and begin rebuilding. A year after Pat was declared cancer-free, she became a yoga teacher. With more than 1,000 hours of training, she blends trauma-informed conscious movement and meditative practice to help students begin recovering from both physical and emotional trauma.
